A joint initiative between Civipol (France) and HTX (Singapore) that brings together global public safety professionals, technologists, and policymakers to drive innovation and collaboration. Rooted in the belief that public safety is a universal right, it aims to make the world safer through transformative technology. The platform connects like-minded leaders across borders and disciplines to share, refine, and accelerate solutions to today’s most pressing public safety challenges.
DEF CON makes its Southeast Asian debut in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands in 2026, in partnership with HTX and CSIT. The centrepiece is the world’s first Public Safety Village — a dedicated cybersecurity arena focused on mission-critical technology used by Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs. Attendees can expect hands-on CTF challenges, expert talks on AI, malware forensics, and cyber crime, alongside a global community of top researchers and security professionals.
A mission-driven hackathon co-organised by HTX and Microsoft, in collaboration with SUTD, challenging Singapore students and recent graduates to harness science and technology to solve real-world public safety problems. Teams of 3–5 compete across three tracks — ideation, hardware, and software — with access to mentorship, SUTD’s Makerspace, and Microsoft Azure credits throughout a six-week hackathon period. Up to SGD 60,000 in prizes are on the table, along with internship opportunities at HTX and access to Microsoft for Startups.
